Justin Stevenson - Associate Director

Justin joined Buzzacott in 2023 and is an Associate Director in our Tax Investigations and Dispute Resolution team.

With over 15 years experience, Justin has worked with all types of UK taxpayers, individuals, OMBs, large corporates, trusts and estates, dealing with a wide range of tax investigations and disclosures.

Justin is a fully qualified Chartered Tax Advisor with both the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT). His qualifications and tax advisory background further assists Justin in interpreting and explaining complex tax matters in simple terms to both clients and HMRC.

Justin's clients are often under significant pressure and strain. Using his technical expertise, combined with an empathetic approach, Justin skilfully ensures that he has a thorough understanding of each client's concerns and adopts an approach to best protect them from the tax risks they face. By establishing strong relationships with both clients and HMRC, he is able to agree a resolution on even the most difficult of cases. 

Justin advises a range of corporate and personal clients with complex tax affairs, often involving offshore issues, who are either under HMRC investigation or wish to make a voluntary disclosure. His portfolio predominately involves large cases of suspected serious fraud investigated under HMRC Code of Practice 9 or 8

Outside of the office, Justin enjoys playing and watching most sports. He also likes running when he gets the chance and spending time with his young family.
