Environmental, Social and Governance

Sustainability is built into how we run our building and how we work, from motion-controlled lighting to responsible waste management. We have not sent anything to landfill since 2011, and all our electricity comes from renewable sources. Our Environmental Network, run by our team members, decides a lot of what we actually do – from tree planting activities to our Earth Hour pledge.

We want everyone at Buzzacott to be comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work, whatever their background, and supported at every stage of their career with us. This includes real investment in training and development, mental health support through our trained Mental Health First Aiders and staff networks that reflect who actually works here.

Supporting the local community has been part of Buzzacott's ethos for decades. Through our Buzzacott Stuart Defries Memorial Fund, we have spent over 20 years supporting charities working with children and young people in and around the City of London. Every one of us gets paid time each year to volunteer, and, through our matching giving scheme, we match team members’ contributions of up to £50 to causes they support.

Clients trust us with sensitive information, so how we protect it matters to us as much as it does to them. We are Cyber Essentials Plus certified, working towards ISO 27001 and hold monthly scenario testing to assess how quickly we can respond to a potential incident. The ICAEW Code of Ethics is fully embedded in our policies, and we introduce new technologies carefully, with proper training.
