Shriya has experience performing valuations of shares and other business assets for various reasons, including commercial, financial reporting and tax compliance needs across an array of sectors.
Prior to joining the valuations team, Shriya was a senior manager within Buzzacott’s corporate tax team.
As a tax advisor, Shriya has broad experience designing and implementing share option schemes (e.g. EMI share schemes, growth share schemes), tax-efficient remuneration packages, selling trading companies to an Employee Ownership Trust, and advising on employment-related securities.
Shriya's tax knowledge puts her in the unique position of understanding tax risks when performing company and shareholder valuations, especially from a CGT and tax planning perspective. She is experienced in identifying and addressing any adverse tax consequences when considering these transactions and liaising with HMRC to address these.
Shriya is ACA qualified and originally trained as an auditor at Deloitte. She completed a six-month secondment to Hastings Direct in 2015, where she assisted with their IPO.
