Buzzacott has advised Universally Speaking in gaining investment from Phoenix Equity Partners
Deal

We are delighted to have advised Universally Speaking, a global video gaming industry firm, in gaining investment from Phoenix Equity Partners. We worked with the team to provide advice throughout the transaction, and assisted on their business plan and financial model.
Universally speaking provides specialist services, such as quality assurance, playtesting, audio, and localisation services, to the video gaming market. The company has worked with some of the world’s leading games publishers, including 2K, Remedy and 505 Games, on globally acclaimed games such as Borderlands 3, Mafia and Control.
In recent years, Universally Speaking Founder and CEO Vickie Peggs has led the company to achieve rapid growth, and will be reinvesting in the company alongside Phoenix Equity Partner’s investment. Vickie will remain as CEO and will work with Phoenix to support the company’s continued growth amid the rapid international expansion of the video gaming industry.
We worked with Universally Speaking to provide advice throughout the transaction, and assisted on their business plan and financial model.
I couldn’t have asked for a better team to support us; Buzzacott have been an absolute pleasure to work with. The team tirelessly worked with us throughout the transaction, and I thank them for their help in securing our new partnership with Phoenix.
