We are delighted to announce that Emma Alvarez, Senior Manager in our US/UK Tax team, has been named one of the 2026 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders.

The annual NextGen Leaders list recognises leading young professionals working across the private client sector in the UK and Crown Dependencies. This year, 83 individuals were selected from hundreds of nominations.

The judging process considers each nominee’s individual achievements, career progression and business development success, alongside factors including mentoring and advocacy within the profession.

With six years’ experience, Emma advises clients on a range of US/UK cross-border tax matters. Over the past year, she has generated approximately £290,000 in new client work and grown the value of her client portfolio by around £250,000.

She has also built strong relationships across the private client community, developing referral relationships with 15 professional firms over the past 20 months.

Alongside her client work, Emma plays an active role in developing colleagues at Buzzacott. She has led the US/UK Tax team’s trainee tax-technical training programme for the past two years and mentors junior colleagues. She is also due to become a group leader, taking responsibility for a team of around 20 people.

Her inclusion in the 2026 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders reflects both her growing expertise in cross-border tax and the contribution she is making to the development of Buzzacott’s US/UK Tax team.
