She has over 10 years’ experience of working with entities regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), including fund managers and advisors, investment advisors, private equity firms, corporate financiers and broker dealers.
A major portion of her portfolio is made up of US inbound firms and most of her clients have multinational affiliates which poses challenges due to the different jurisdictions. Her role is to ensure they meet all their UK reporting and regulatory obligations and are aware of upcoming events and regulations.
Rakhee’s specialisms include providing accounting, compliance and advisory services to her FCA regulated clients and helping start-ups set up business in the UK, particularly with US inbound firms. Her key focus is assisting clients with system automation and integration/migration, providing bespoke training on QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Sage Intact and other accounting and expense management systems.
Rakhee works closely with Buzzacott’s Company Secretarial, Payroll, Financial Planning and HR Consultancy teams as well as the personal tax teams. By collaborating with these teams, she provides clients with a comprehensive service, supporting them from incorporation, to ongoing business compliance. She also works with Buzzacott’s Corporate Tax, Audit and Assurance and Corporate Finance teams to assist clients with ongoing business requirements.
Before joining Buzzacott, Rakhee started her training at PwC in Harare, Zimbabwe and completed it at PKF in London. She was then at a small London firm before joining Buzzacott in 2009.
She is a member of 100 Women in Finance and AIMA. Away from her desk she enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, reading historical novels and is a huge cricket fan.
Rakhee was named as one of 2021's 50 leading women in hedge funds by the Hedge Fund Journal. Its annual report "recognises and congratulates the truly ground-breaking women" in the sector. You can read the full report here.
