Phil Westerman - Partner

Phil specialises in providing audit services for all sizes of private companies (reporting under both UK GAAP and IFRS). His diverse client portfolio spans several sectors, with a particular focus on real estate, construction, facilities management, retail and hospitality.   

Phil has extensive experience working with real estate and construction companies, as well as partnerships and property funds, including offshore structures. His dedicated team supports clients in keeping up to date with developments in audit and financial reporting requirements, and in delivering audits efficiently to meet statutory and covenant reporting deadlines. Additionally, Phil leverages his connections within Buzzacott to provide clients with access to other specialists, delivering a comprehensive service that addresses their broader needs.

Phil trained and qualified (ACA) with Whittingham Riddell in Shropshire. He then joined Grant Thornton in 1998, spending 22 years there, 14 of which were as an Audit Partner in the Corporate Audit team. He was also head of the National Real Estate and Construction Audit team for 12 years. 

Outside of work Phil enjoys travelling and most sports, particularly football, and is a life-long Manchester United fan.
