He is an expert in personal tax and works with high-net worth individuals and partnerships (including LLPs), assisting them with personal tax compliance and planning.
In particular, Paul’s areas of specialist knowledge include partnership tax matters, Capital Gains Tax issues, the Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) reliefs, use of companies and tax-efficient profit extraction, main residence reliefs and elections, and residence and domicile issues.
Paul works closely with Buzzacott’s Corporate and Financial Planning teams to help spot opportunities and provide collaborative advice to clients, which combines tax planning and wealth management solutions.
He is a fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
Prior to joining Buzzacott, Paul spent 10 years at Saffery Champness, and prior to that, he has worked for KPMG and HMRC.
Outside of the office, Paul enjoys travelling and opera.
