Mohammed advises charities and not-for-profit organisations on a broad range of tax compliance and advisory matters. He supports clients across a variety of sectors, providing practical advice on areas including Gift Aid, membership structures, charitable trading, tax-efficient fundraising, and HMRC disclosures.
He also advises on property transactions, charitable restructurings, and conversions from not-for-profit entities into charitable organisations – helping clients determine appropriate structures and maximise available tax reliefs. Mohammed works with some of the UK’s leading galleries, supporting them with Museums and Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief and other creative industry tax relief claims.
Before specialising in charity tax, Mohammed advised corporate groups on a range of corporation tax compliance and advisory matters, including restructurings and transactions. This broader commercial background enables him to bring valuable business insight and a practical perspective to his work with charities and not-for-profit organisations. Mohammed joined Buzzacott in 2023 and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 2021.
