George Thresh

George's work focuses on primarily performing financial due diligence services for private equity houses, venture capital funds, banks and acquisitive companies. Where required, he also provides transaction advisory services, helping clients to negotiate the best possible deal. He has a particular focus on search funds, enjoying the level of involvement and support such transactions require from a due diligence, transaction advisory and project management angle (and also having the chance to work with highly motivated young entrepreneurs putting into practise key skills learned in their MBAs).
George and his team focus on delivering bespoke, practical reports that give clients exactly what they need to make informed decisions. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, each report is tailored to the client’s specific objectives and budget.
Depending on the engagement, this might range from a focused report on a single issue, such as working capital, to an initial red flag review highlighting potential concerns in a target business, through to a comprehensive full-scope report.
George has experience performing due diligence on companies operating in a wide array of sectors, with a particular focus on techology and media, consumer products and business services. Given his audit background, he has a strong understanding of FRS102 and always looks for opportunities to add value by making recommendations to clients. He undertook a secondment in 2018 to work at a US-based accounting firm where he had the opportunity to work with New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed clients.
George is ACA qualified and featured in AccountancyAge's 2025 35 Under 35 list.
