Paul joined Buzzacott in 2020 and is a Senior Manager in our Financial Planning team, specialising in pensions and employee benefits.
He works with employers of all sizes ranging from US inbound start-ups and SMEs to larger charities and corporates.
Paul supports US inbound employers who can be unfamiliar with the UK pension regime and need advice on complying with their Employer Duties and establishing a competitive range of benefits quickly.
For SMEs and larger employers, common challenges include: improving employee engagement, catering for the needs of different employee demographic groups and ensuring competitiveness against peers. As it is now viable for smaller clients to establish benefits and support that may have been solely the domain of large corporates a few years ago, Paul’s experience with larger employers allows him to advise SMEs on ways they can take advantage of market developments and innovations to meet their objectives.
Paul and the team provide advice and support on the overall benefits strategy as well as the specific components. His specialist areas are employer pension schemes, group risk insurance, private medical cover and voluntary benefits, as well as wellbeing, financial education and employee communications.
He works with other teams within Buzzacott including HR Consultancy, Corporate Tax, and Payroll to deliver a ‘one stop’ solution and provide strategic advice on the benefits and HR strategy.
Prior to joining Buzzacott, Paul was an employee benefits consultant with a number of major consultancies including Close Brothers, Broadstone (a BDO network firm) and AJ Gallagher.
Away from his desk he enjoys cycling and has an interest in geology.
