Luke Barnbrook - Manager

Luke joined Buzzacott in 2019 and is a Manager in our Research & Development Team.

Luke’s expertise lies in state aid and innovation incentives. With a background in public policy, he understands government legislation, how this applies to a business and what steps a business will need to take in order to maximise funding.

Luke enjoys working with a variety of clients, large and small, across all sectors; whether that is engineering, product design or architecture.

The R&D team provide a range of services relating to innovation incentives and provide general advice to companies wanting to optimise their funding position. They provide a full preparation of R&D claims across all sectors. This includes eligibility assessment, technical interviews, costings and financials and full report write ups, including review of existing claims. The team has a 100% success rate.

Claiming R&D tax credits can be a complicated and time-consuming process. Luke is able to simplify the process by directly supporting businesses and navigating them through the claims process. His knowledge of state aid legislation means he is able to optimise the R&D claim for any business undertaking R&D.

Luke has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Public Policy from UCL. Prior to joining Buzzacott, he worked in parliament focusing on a range of policy issues.
