The FCA’s latest guidance advises having ‘Skin in the game’

In its ‘finalised guidance’ (FG20/1), the FCA has once again reinforced its expectations of firms on maintaining capital adequacy.

The helpful guidance gives a clear explanation of the ‘self-assessment’ that firms need to complete and what the FCA will be looking for. The full guidance can be found here.

I would strongly recommend that you read through the guidance which is in self-explanatory bullet points format and covers the FCA’s take on: Financial resources; Systems and controls; Governance and culture; Wind-down planning; Adequate capital resources; Adequate liquid resources; and Risk management and controls framework.
