The FCA’s latest guidance advises having ‘Skin in the game’

In its ‘finalised guidance’ (FG20/1), the FCA has once again reinforced its expectations of firms on maintaining capital adequacy.

Last updated 15.06.20

The helpful guidance gives a clear explanation of the ‘self-assessment’ that firms need to complete and what the FCA will be looking for. The full guidance can be found here.

I would strongly recommend that you read through the guidance which is in self-explanatory bullet points format and covers the FCA’s take on: Financial resources; Systems and controls; Governance and culture; Wind-down planning; Adequate capital resources; Adequate liquid resources; and Risk management and controls framework.

If you would like further explanation, you will find our recent article on the above subject, published in AIMA’s latest journal. You can read the article here.
