"During the webinar, we received questions about cyber insurance from our attendees. In response, I believe I mentioned that the world of insurance has changed; from a bit of a 'free for all' that everybody was planning to sell to reduced capacity and increased premiums in a market where we have seen a significant number of claims. As with all things, the devil is in the details and it's clear to ensure that you are adequately covered. On the flip side, you don't want to be double insured as this could cause an overlap argument between insurers if a claim were made. If you'd like us to have a look at your insurance arrangements, we'd be delighted to do so.
One of our attendees asked whether there should be a dedicated Digital or Cyber Director in their organisation. It would certainly help to designate this in their job title or job description, but the overall approach is to ensure that somebody on the board takes responsibility for this role and that they are passionate and well informed. Often the main issue is a coming together of your board and tech support."
