Guy joined Buzzacott in October 2023 and is a Senior Manager.
Guy works in our Valuations team, which specialises in valuing businesses and financial assets, helping relevant stakeholders understand what truly drives or detracts from their value. The team undertakes valuations for a variety of purposes including share schemes, financial reporting and shareholder disputes.
He has experience working with businesses of all sizes and stages, including entrepreneurs, startups, FTSE 100 companies and large multinationals. His industry expertise spans the consumer markets, professional services, and SaaS sectors.
He specialises in providing financial instrument valuations under IFRS 2 and IFRS 9, purchase price allocation (“PPA”) valuations under IFRS 3 and FRS 102, as well as tax and commercial valuations to support corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining Buzzacott, Guy trained in Valuations for four years at Smith & Williamson’s (now Evelyn Partners), which he joined through their graduate scheme. He then spent two years working at BDO’s London Valuations team. Guy has a Level 6 Diploma in Corporate Finance, dually awarded by the CISI and ICAEW.
Away from the office, Guy enjoys cooking, even if his dinner guests don’t, and tries to get out of London for the odd long cycle when the weather allows.
