Tony Hopson

As Managing Partner, Tony’s main role is to steer the continued growth of Buzzacott, ensuring that we continue to deliver for our clients and grow in areas where we see a gap in the market to lead with our expertise.

Tony is a Partner in our US/UK Tax team and is Managing Director of Buzzacott’s Hong Kong office. He is dually qualified in US and UK tax and has many years’ experience dealing with the issues faced by Americans overseas and UK nationals in the US, including annual US Federal, State and UK self-assessment tax filing, FBAR reporting, expatriation, efficient investing for US/UK tax purposes, tax treaty issues, controlled foreign corporation (CFC) ownership, US settlors and beneficiaries of foreign trusts, and dual qualified charities.

Tony is an active member of various tax forums and has attended and presented at the US PrimeGlobal Conference annually since 2002.
