Katharine Patel

Katharine leads on the delivery of audit, financial accounting and regulatory compliance services for a portfolio of clients that includes many charitable and educational institutions, such as further and higher education colleges, academies and independent schools.

She holds a postgraduate diploma in Charity Accounting and Financial Management from London South Bank University, giving her a broad understanding of the operations and financial management of charities across the sector. Katharine now lectures at the university on charity accounting and financial issues, sharing her expertise with the next generation of sector professionals.

Alongside her client work, Katharine serves as Trustee and Treasurer of a major drug services charity based in South London. Since joining Buzzacott, she has worked exclusively with not-for-profit organisations, building extensive knowledge of the sector and its unique accounting and regulatory requirements.
