The increased appetite US purchasers are showing for acquiring UK companies is great news for UK entrepreneurs, offering a broader pool of potential buyers who can help with international expansion and value creation. We have acted on both the sell side for UK businesses and the buy side for US corporates, which has given us a great insight into the motivations and tendencies of both sides of the transaction. This insight and understanding of the landscape of cross-border M&A has allowed us to proactively manage any differing viewpoints or potential areas of misunderstanding, helping to ensure a smooth transaction.
We contributed to an article by ICAEW highlighting some additional trends and key considerations for UK business when selling to the US.
