Adam joined Buzzacott in 2019 and is a Manager in our Corporate Tax team.
He works with a wide portfolio of clients advising on a range of issues such as how to keep key employees through share schemes, restructuring of a business to make it more efficient from a tax perspective, and planning for extraction of funds on future sale.
Adam also has a particular focus on early stage corporates looking to raise funds through the Enterprise Investment (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS). He works closely with Buzzacott’s Corporate Finance team on advising qualifying fund raises as well as the Private Client team in giving EIS/SEIS advice for individuals.
Adam is a Chartered Tax Advisor and prior to joining Buzzacott spent six years at HMRC where he was a technical lead analysing tax planning structures and working on the most complex EIS cases. He therefore has in depth knowledge of HMRC process and rules, meaning he can help companies with everything from gaining advance assurance and clearance applications to maintaining eligibility and dealing with HMRC enquiries looking into withdrawal of relief.
Away from his desk, he spends time watching American Football, keeping active and going to the gym. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new places, having already backpacked across Asia, Central America and New Zealand.
