We are delighted to have advised founder Ian Dawson and his team at Alpha Development on their investment from Business Growth Fund (BGF). This first institutional round comes at an exciting time for the business in its journey and the strategic partnership with BGF will enable the business to achieve its growth ambitions at an accelerated rate.

Alpha Development is a global financial training firm providing customised and innovative programmes to some of the world’s most highly regarded investment banks and asset managers. The company has secured investment from Business Growth Fund (BGF), a leading UK investor of equity capital.

What we liked about this deal and the challenges addressed

From the outset the Alpha team were adamant that any investor would have to be the perfect fit. This led to us running a selective process with a very short list of potential parties. It is testament to the impressive historic performance of and attractive opportunity presented by Alpha Development that such a process was possible. We worked closely with the Alpha team in the initial stages of finding the right investor and guided them throughout each stage of the transaction right the way to completion.
