Have you decided university isn’t for you?
Do you want to gain a qualification, while working and earning at the same time?
If so, why not explore the apprenticeships Buzzacott has to offer!

If the apprenticeship path appeals to you, we offer a range of opportunities across our various teams.

On each team, you’ll have a Manager as your mentor, plus access to Buzzacott Partners and other senior staff for extra guidance whenever you need it.

Find out more about our training contracts and professional support apprenticeships below…

Training contracts

Our training contracts offer comprehensive, supervised training towards professional qualifications. Apprentices typically start by studying the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) over a period of 24 months.

After that, you can choose to take your learning further by following either the ACA or ACCA qualification to become a chartered or certified accountant. Or the CTA qualification to become a chartered tax advisor.

The training programme is structured and monitored by a top firm of external tutors. Here’s what’s involved:

  • Courses at tutors’ offices
  • Regular assessments
  • On-the-job training
  • Fully paid tuition and study leave at top firm of professional tutors
  • Talent coach
  • Firm mentor

AAT/ACA Audit Associate Apprenticeship

Our audit apprenticeships start in one of two teams. As a member of our Charity and Not-for-Profit (NFP) audit team you will learn how to audit, advise and support charities as well as other NFP organisations, including membership bodies and dynamic social enterprises. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of NFPs from international NGOs to Arts & Culture charities to religious orders. Or join our Corporate and Business Services team where - unlike at many other firms - you’ll encounter a truly broad spectrum of companies, from SMEs to multinational corporations. Whichever client base you opt for, you study towards the AAT followed by the ACA - the ICAEW chartered accountancy qualification.

AAT/ACCA Accounting Associate Apprenticeship

Our accounting apprentices work with our Corporate and Business Services team and learn how to create and maintain longstanding relationships with clients as part of our bookkeeping and management accounts services.  In this role you study towards the AAT followed by the ACCA

Tax Consultant Apprenticeship

Fancy wrapping your brain around a fascinating range of clients? Think about trying your hand at tax. Buzzacott can offer a fully-supervised training programme across two teams. Choose from these options:

Private Client: As a new team member, you will work towards the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and Chartered Institute of Taxation  (CTA) qualifications while helping clients with their individual and family wealth. This gives you the chance to work across everything from investment portfolios, property and business to on- and offshore trusts.

Expatriate Tax: As a trainee in this team you take the ATT qualification and Enrolled Agent training to fully qualify in both UK and US taxation. This can be a great investment in your future career, as being a qualified ‘dual-handler’ makes you highly desirable in the expat tax market.

Professional Support Apprenticeships

We don’t just offer apprenticeships in accounting, we also offer a wide range of apprenticeships across our Professional Support teams too.

Our Professional Support team includes HR, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Compliance and Facilities.

On our Professional Support apprenticeships, you will learn on the job providing specialist support to the wider firm. You’ll also study towards a relevant qualification with training provided by a top firm of external tutors.
