Didn’t fancy university? But want to gain a professional qualification?
If the apprenticeship path appeals to you, our training contracts offer comprehensive, supervised training towards professional qualifications. Apprentices typically start by studying the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) over a period of 24 months.
After that, you can choose to take your learning further by following either the ACA or ACCA qualification to become a chartered or certified accountant. Or the CTA qualification to become a chartered tax advisor.
On our apprenticeship scheme you’ll have a manager as your mentor, plus access to Buzzacott partners and senior staff for extra guidance whenever you need it. The training programme is structured and monitored by a top firm of external tutors. Here’s what’s involved:
- Courses at tutors’ offices
- Regular assessments
- On-the-job training
- Fully paid tuition and study leave at top firm of professional tutors
- Talent coach
- Firm mentor
AAT/ACA Audit Associate Apprenticeship
Our audit apprenticeships start in one of two teams. Work with our Charity and Not-for-Profit audit team and learn how to advise and support charitable organisations. Or join our Corporate and Business Services team where - unlike at many other firms - you’ll encounter a truly broad spectrum of companies, from SMEs to multinational corporations. Whichever client base you opt for, you study towards the AAT followed by the ACA - the ICAEW chartered accountancy qualification.
AAT/ACCA Accounting Associate Apprenticeship
Our accounting apprentices work with our Corporate and Business Services team and learn how to create and maintain longstanding relationships with clients as part of our bookkeeping and management accounts services. In this role you study towards the AAT followed by the ACCA.
Tax Consultant Apprenticeship
Fancy wrapping your brain around a fascinating range of clients? Think about trying your hand at tax. Buzzacott can offer a fully-supervised training programme across two teams. Choose from these options:
Private Client: As a new team member, you will work towards the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) qualifications while helping clients with their individual and family wealth. This gives you the chance to work across everything from investment portfolios, property and business to on- and offshore trusts.
Expatriate Tax: As a trainee in this team you take the ATT qualification and Enrolled Agent training to fully qualify in both UK and US taxation. This can be a great investment in your future career, as being a qualified ‘dual-handler’ makes you highly desirable in the expat tax market.
