Corporate Social Responsibility

At Buzzacott we think about the world beyond our office walls as much as the one inside them. We always consider our impact on the environment and our local community. For us Corporate Social Responsibility is really about how we behave with everyone we come into contact with.

That’s why we called our CSR programme Shared Responsibility. Because we want to focus on philanthropy in a way that involves all our staff, partners and suppliers – and to do more every year. You can find out how we’re getting on in our latest CSR Report

We get our hands dirty

Everyone at Buzzacott can take 14 hours each year to volunteer in the community. Our people spend more than a thousand hours getting stuck into farming, gardening, cleaning, clearing, teaching, coaching and befriending.

Back in the office, we take our responsibilities equally seriously. They’re built into our building and our thinking – from the motion-controlled lighting to our careful treatment of waste materials. We’re pleased to say our sustainability efforts have been recognised by the Clean City Awards Scheme.

Diversity and inclusion

Diversity and inclusion

As well as our commitment to our local community and the environment, we’re committed to our people.

We are dedicated to equal opportunities and equal treatment for all team members, regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, age, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or disability.

As a firm we’re continually developing our diversity and inclusion programme, aiming to create a culture where individuals are comfortable bringing their true selves to work, a culture that is open and inclusive, where all team members are supported through every step of their career with us.

Apply for funding from the Stuart Defries Memorial Fund

The CSR programme is founded on our charitable trust, the Buzzacott Stuart Defries Memorial Fund. We set up the trust in 2003 in memory of one of our partners, to help children and young people from deprived backgrounds in boroughs adjoining the City of London. It provides grants and other support to suitable charities, and backs staff-matched giving.

We want to donate where we can make a genuine difference. So we regularly give to smaller local charities whose aims are in line with our own. Could that be you?
