Manager, Charity & Not-for-Profit Team
This role involves managing a portfolio of predominantly not-for-profit sector clients and delivering a quality service to both Partners and clients.
Client Portfolio
- To manage a portfolio of not-for-profit clients.
- To organise and run every assignment as effectively and as efficiently as possible, in accordance with Statements of Auditing Standards (SASs) and to the firm’s standards and to ensure effective completion before partner review.
- To provide technical guidance to staff and resolve technical queries when instructed by clients.
- To control work-in-progress and to raise fee notes as early as possible during every assignment.
- To help (if requested) the partner collect debts from clients and be aware of the status of outstanding debts.
Staff Management
- To take day-to-day responsibility for junior members of the team and in particular to monitor the work and progress being made and to help to resolve any problems and difficulties being encountered.
- To delegate work to any such member of the team.
- To set aside time to give regular and constructive feedback to junior members of the team in order to contribute to their practical training and professional development.
- To conduct performance review meetings of junior members of the team, to include the review of their professional training records, where applicable.
- To conduct regular Support & Supervision sessions with junior members of the team, to include a regular review of their performance and progress.
- To take an active interest in the study and examination progress of junior members of the team, where applicable, and to provide moral and technical support.
Special Work
- To perform non-audit and special work as and when required and as and when time is available.
Technical and Departmental Administration

To keep up to date with auditing and accounting standards and developments within the profession.

To help the firm and clients keep up to date with these developments.
Training
-
To contribute to the in-house training programme by preparing and delivering lectures as and when time is available and needs arise.
