Academies

Since the change in government last May, and the subsequent introduction of the Academies Act, there has been the most fundamental shake-up of the sector since its inception – which makes Buzzacott’s experience of advising such a wide range of academies all the more important.

We provide audit, accounting and advisory services to more than 60 academies.  Our clients include both the original, stand-alone academies and federations together, now, with a growing number of outstanding schools which have gained academy status as a result of the Act.

Our services for academies address the governance, financial and HR requirements they face. Our specialist experience enables us to share best practice in areas such as financial systems and controls, management reporting, tax compliance, risk management and payroll.

The value of this support is that it allows the leadership to focus on its objectives without distraction, at a time when such focus is vital.
