Trainee Accountants

Buzzacott is committed to attracting and retaining the very best people to enable us to achieve our vision of being a first class consulting Firm in our selected markets, with a reputation for integrity, client focus, service quality and approachability.

Buzzacott has two graduate intakes each year, January and August and we accept applications throughout the year.

The Firm is a member of SWATuk, a training consortium, who provide a number of courses which are designed to provide you with the maximum benefit from your practical experience. At Buzzacott, you'll play a part in the firm's success from day one - allowing you greater recognition, higher visibility and the opportunity to take on real responsibility at an earlier stage in your career.

Buzzacott offer graduates a contract of employment which includes a comprehensive, fully supervised training program which extends over a period of 36 months. A closely monitored and structured program of tuition is provided by a top firm of external tutors. Training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study and regular tests, as well as on the job training. Paid study leave is granted and course and examination fees are paid for first attempts.

From the moment your training begins you will be assigned to a Manager who will act as your Counsellor. They will monitor and support your professional and personal development and monitor your ICAEW exam success. Other partners and senior staff are also available to discuss any problem that may arise and offer guidance; in addition the tutors at SWATuk provide support and counselling.

Our graduate recruitment is handled by SWATuk in the first instance, who attend university milk-rounds on our behalf and carry out all preliminary interviews and testing. Any applications made direct to us are forwarded to SWATuk.

We would like to hear from you if you…
  • Have or expect to obtain a degree (usually a 2:1), or equivalent, in any discipline from a reputable university;
  • Have a minimum of five GCSE’s (or equivalent), including English Language and Maths at grades A to C.
  • Have a minimum of 26 UCAS points under the old system or 300 UCAS points under the new system (excluding General Studies)
  • Are a team-player;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Are flexible, motivated and committed;
  • Work well under pressure; and
  • Demonstrate initiative and strong leadership potential

To ensure a good fit with the Buzzacott culture we also look for sociable individuals with enquiring minds who are at ease communicating with people of all levels of seniority and background.

Our aim is to provide Trainee Accountants with a rewarding and challenging career within a professional and supportive working environment.

Trainee Accountants play a key role in the future success of Buzzacott. Your accelerated professional development means that you will be able to gain the skills required to succeed in your chosen career more rapidly and in a professional, supportive and friendly working environment.

If you think you would like to join us, then please apply directly to SWATuk, which you can do via their website, located at: www.swat.co.uk.
