AIM News: Gaming firm signs new contracts
Wednesday 4th May 2011
Fruit machine supplier Sceptre Leisure has signed three new contracts that will see its gaming machines continue to be used in pubs and hotels around the UK.
The company has struck an agreement with Manchester brewer Joseph Holt to supply its 130 managed and tenanted pubs over the next two years and the Northampton-based McManus Pub Company will also have its 13 sites equipped with Sceptre's machines after it signed a two-year deal.
The AIM-listed firm has also added another year on to its two-year deal to supply De Vere Hotels with its machines.
Chief executive Ken Turner said: "These new deals demonstrate our continued progress towards becoming the number one machine operator in the UK pub market. Sceptre will continue to follow its strategy of growth both through organic contract gains, and also through selected strategic acquisitions.
"With the trend towards consolidation gathering pace, I believe that Sceptre remains well-placed to take advantage of new opportunities as they arise."
