As educational trusts transitioned from the financial year 2020/21 to a post-pandemic era, the relaxation of restrictions led to income and expenditure levels aligning more closely with the pre-pandemic period. Consequently, the financial impact in 2021/22 has been positive.
Focus now shifts towards the present economic conditions and notable rises in inflation, which have already had a significant effect on the non-pay expenses of Trusts across the sector, as indicated by certain aspects of this report.
